Subject: Need help using kermit with a Microcom QX/3296c modem
Lines: 12
Xref: news.columbia.edu comp.protocols.kermit.misc:6466
I bought the above mentioned modem used, without a manual. It's an
external, connected to COM1. I am fairly certain that the com port
info is set correctly. The IRQ seems correct. The DTR signal comes on
when kermit loads. If I try using the provided hayes dial script, kermit
tells me to turn my modem on. If I CONNECT, I don't get any response.
Might I have to flip the jumpers on the modem?
I use Telix, which controls the modem without any fiddling from me. So
I know it works.
Any info would be of help.
